Domenican Republic February 2 -23, 2012The Hotel Catalonia Bavaro Beach Golf & Casino ****½ in Punta Cana – Domenican Republic will be hosting the ITALIAN CHIN WINTER PICNIC from February 2nd , 2012 to February 23rd, 2012.
This event has been hugely successful for the last 23 years and has gained in popularity each year. The Picnic is open to the general public and can be booked through any Marina Travel Agency.

In addition to the full host of activities and entertainment for which the Hotel Catalonia Bavaro Beach Golf & Casino ****½ is well known, CHIN Radio will be presenting an array of local and international stars direct from Italy to perform. These singers will be announced at a later date. Some of the added value activities provided by CHIN Radio are:
Spaghettata- a huge favorite with CHIN listeners. CHIN offers an exclusive Italian luncheon weekly at the beach side restaurant for all registered CHIN Winter Picnic guests.
Dancing under the stars: Nightly dancing to Italian music provided by local and international artists each night at the main theatre.
Tombola/Scopa tournaments: Weekly at the main lobby bar.
Gala Dinner/Dance: Exclusive event offered weekly for registered CHIN Winter Picnic guests featuring fine Italian cuisine plus a live show and dancing.
CHIN Personalities: Each week a different CHIN personality will be your host and master of ceremonies for all CHIN events.

Reservations
- When booking for the 24th Italian Chin Winter Picnic please make sure you have the correct spelling of each passenger’s name, as shown on their passport. A change fee will apply to any corrections that have to be made.
- A deposit of $200.00 per person and full insurance (if purchased) will be required at time of reservation in order to confirm the booking.
- The final balance is due 45 days prior to the departure date. If the reservation is booked within the 45 days prior to departure, then full payment is required at time of booking.
- The 24th ITALIAN CHIN WINTER PICNIC will have its own separate inventory .

The majority of amenities, activities, and gratuities at Catalonia Bavaro All Inclusive Resort are included in the room rate; guests are not charged extra for the majority of amenities and activities (scroll up to the All-Inclusive Details section for more information).
The resort offer 711 junior suites in 30 three-story buildings (no elevators). Rocking chairs and hammocks supply relaxation on balconies and ground-floor terraces. Sitting areas contains loveseats, wing chairs, and coffee tables. Compact refrigerators are stocked with soft drinks, water, and beer. Ceiling fans supplement air conditioning. Televisions offer U.S./European cable channels. Pink-marble bathrooms contain round tubs with handheld showers and separate stall showers. Decor includes terra-cotta-tile floors, dark-rattan furniture, and blue-and-gold fabrics. Wireless Internet access is complimentary.
The recently renovated Privileged Junior Suites offer exclusive upgraded amenities and services, such as 24-hour room service, private check-in, and an exclusive lounge area. Privileged guests also receive pillow menus, coffee makers and minibars, bathrobes and slippers, plasma televisions and special access to onsite theme restaurants.

Recreation
A freeform family pool measuring approximately 76m by 76m (250 ft by 250 ft) includes jetted sections and a swim-up bar. There's also a 12-m (40-ft) kidney-shaped children's pool.
The beach fronting the resort extends well inland, with palm trees and thatched umbrellas for shade. The resort supplies pedal boats, snorkeling gear, and Sunfish sailboats. Scuba-diving instruction/PAIDI certification and diving/snorkeling excursions are available for surcharges, as are speed boats, banana-boating, water skiing, fishing, and parasailing.
The resort includes two lighted tennis courts and a lighted basketball court (surcharges for play under lights) as well as a nine-hole golf course (surcharges for greens fees/cart and rental equipment).
