Cannes is a very busy tourist destination and is most famous for its annual Cannes Film Festival. It is also know as a posh destination with numerous luxurious houses and mansions as well as many high-end gated communities.

Hence Cannes is a very expensive city and it is know for luxury stores, fancy restaurants, and prestigious hotels. Even most beaches require an entrance fee. But it still remains a lovely place to visit and discover, as are the Lérins Islands with its monks and castles.
