Welcome to Guayaquil, Ecuador´s largest city and main port. Until now it was mainly a destination for business travelers. Guayaquil is Ecuador´s largest city with about 3,000,000 inhabitants. Situated at sea level its port “Puerto Maritimo”. Ecuador and lies on the west bank of the river Guayas about 60 km from its outflow in the Gulf of Guayaquil. The climate in the dry season is warm and pleasant, in the rainy season between January and April.  Most nationalities will need a visa to enter Ecuador.
